Victoria Eats Leftover Potatoes and Chick-Fil-A Superfood Side

Today for lunch I ate my remaining two potatoes that I had leftover from yesterday. To jazz it up (because it was kind of boring just eating roasted potatoes last night) I also heated up a frozen black bean burger patty. It complemented the potatoes really well! It reminded me a lot of a classic meat-and-potatoes meal, but without the meat. I was very pleased with it, but it left me craving salad and chocolate, lol.

So I had a couple cups of hot chocolate for the chocolate craving. Rodolfo went through Chick-fil-a on the way home for his own food, and asked if I wanted anything. I was still craving something light and lettuce-y, so I quickly looked over their menu. All their main salad options had chicken on them (I love chicken, but I'm trying not to eat meat anymore). II was rushing to make a decision, and I saw that their superfood side looked pretty good and didn't seem to have any meat on it, so I asked Rodolfo to get me that.

It was sort of disappointing. I liked the broccolini, dressing, and nuts, but the dried cherries were just too much. Maybe they would grow on me as raisins in cereal have, but idk... I'm just not a huge fan. I think I would have preferred dried cranberries. So I ate that and left the dried cherries. It didn't really satisfy me though, and I probably wouldn't order it again.

The vegetarian options I've tried so far have been pretty underwhelming. But I know vegetarian and vegan things can taste good! These restaurants just aren't trying hard because there's not enough of a demand for them, I guess.

I've recently tried Jersey Mike's Veggie Cold Sub and Grilled Veggie Wrap, and they were both disappointing. I think they could have been a lot tastier if they had incorporated avocado. But with just the onions and green peppers, cheeses, lettuce, and tomato, it was really boring. I don't plan to order them again. Next time I'll probably get tuna. I've got to get me some better vegetarian fast food options! Or... just cook and eat at home more...? >.<
